So, welcome to the inaugural post of this blog. Franz Ferdinand are a band that don’t really need an introduction, but if you feel they do, I assure you it has been covered elsewhere. I’m not going to give one - if you don’t know who they are or what they sound like, Youtube and Google would be a good idea. I’ll wait.
They’re a group that I’ve gained a lot of respect and admiration for as a fan. Catchy music, raw talent, a sense of humour, and the overwhelming sense that they’re actually having fun with what they’re doing. A nice package indeed.
You might be asking what the purpose of this blog is. Sure, there’s a multitude of resources out there (forums, communities, websites, etc) that provide pictures, news, and information in regards to Alex Kapranos, Bob Hardy, Nick McCarthy, and Paul Thomson, but it’s all pretty scattered.
Starting tomorrow - Thursday, July 16 - this blog will provide a daily post of internet findings about Franz Ferdinand. This includes links to news articles, interviews, photos, and updates. See something missing? Drop me a line at loveanddestroy@live.com - any news is welcome.
